	Willow Emerald Damselfly (female), Sandhouse Lane NR, 10 August 2023. This species arrived in the UK quite recently and has spread from the East coast rapidly westwards. It is now quite common around here.

	When the sun came out this afternoon it was a signal for hundreds of flying ants to make their mating flights. This a a flying Black Ant, temporarily earthbound, Alwins Field, 5 August 2023.
